1、IELTS 考试水平稍高于大学英语四级，大体与TOEFL相似，但主要侧重于应用能力，考试难点因人而异，就我本人来讲口语相对较难； 2、目前市场上出售的考试复习资料对考试帮助不是很大，因为基本上都是for accademic nit for general training.建议使用british embassy 出售的资料，可以熟悉一下考试题型； 3、词汇量要求不是很高，大学英语单词足以应付，复习一下大学英语词汇量即可； 4、以本人经验准备时间不必太长，但主要取决于个人英语水平，因为它毕竟与我们所常见的考试不大一样，实质上主要是能力测试，考试期间曾与其他考生交谈，普遍认为准备时间过长对考试帮助不大，平均两个月足以； 5、听力感觉时间较紧，虽然不记入成绩但也不应忽视； 6、口语测试随机性很强，不必刻意背诵有关资料，总的说来目前市场上出售的口语书基本上含盖了口语面试的大部分，大体上不会超过这个范围，只有多说多练。面试官提问问题大概按照他自己的思路走，没有定式。 我是怎样准备IELTS 1. Listening I registered the TOEFL of 15th of May. So I will spend some time on TOEFL listening practice. Because the score of listening section is not a part that considered by immigration department of Canada consulate, I will not spend my valuable time on it. 2. Reading Im prepare the Reading section of TOEFL and IELTS at the same time. So, no extra time for practice this section except looking through the example. 3. Writing I downloaded several tasks from www.ielts.com and wrote according to them and TOEFL an essay every day or every other day. I found a American English teacher and let him correct my writing once a week. Im also going to keep in mind some good essaies in order to use them in the real examination. 4. Speaking I have chance to talk to some foreigners during work time. But it is not enough. I have arrange with the here in above American to simulate the test with me once a week. Lets work in tandem. .我所经历的IELTS考试（含我的答案） 考点：南京东南大学 8：20 到考场，站在走廊里，一直等到第一个考班进场完。 9：15 进场，核对长相，对号入座。 9：30听力开始，耳机清晰，这次的版本是version 14,是个英国口音，有三段。 1、有个人生病咳嗽，与医生对话。要写出病情，药名，吃几颗药，时间等等。我记得用到cough、spoon、anti-biotic、chest，etc。 2、一男一女谈参加演讲会的感受，男的是俄国人的口音，舌头打滚。要选择出两人的感受、准备方法、参与方式、参加后的感想等等。 3、两人谈参加露天活动，要写出节目表，时间，内容，活动地点等等，用到了loudspeakers、harbor，etc。 10:15 阅读 version 08，有四段。 1、五幅语言学校招生广告，根据广告内容选择正确答案，要找一些时间安排，费用，提供教学的语种、学校设施，课外活动等等。 2、一所大学的历史，现状，学生组成，管理方法等等 3、提供十几个缩写和解释，题目是给一段文字内容和解释，找对应的缩写来匹配。 4、飞行器的发展，热气球，螺旋桨，喷气式，商业飞行，速度等等。 11：17作文 version 23 1、电话帐单出了错，发现是国际长途上有问题，写信抗议，要钱。 2、有人说学生要先学general subjects , 应当等到17岁，他们知道自己该做什么的时候，才能开始学习special subjects 。这个观点你支持吗，为什么？ 第二天，11:30 口语 先寒暄，谈家庭，工作，老家，婚姻状况，Y2K，手机对人体有害... cue card，假装顾客向他买就电视机，问成色，价格，厂家... 谈未来，为何移民，想去哪个城市，工作前景...。答案一 Dear manager : I am a subscriber of your telephone service . Firstly , general subjects are the basement of other kinds of subjects . In our country , Chinese,math,physics are all general subjects .Without a systematic study of general subjects , one will face a lot of problem in this social life . For Example , if you had not studied math , when you wandering around a flea market , You will find that robbed by those cunning guys . Next , people are gifted defferently . If you do not study the general subjects , maybe you will not find what you are really good at . When I was young , I like to read novels and I believe that I will be a writer . But after I have studied BASIC - a computer program language , also a general subject in my school , I found that I was so good at it that even I can use it to write a small computer game . I am a computer programmer now . Thanks god , I found what I was gifted . If I hadnt study BASIC , the general subject , maybe I was a poor low-end writer now ! Finally , peoples carrer must be related with their interet . It is happy to work on what you are interested in and get the payment at the same time .
