5．转折或反义与对比参照型

这种类型题有的是通过转折词或反义词、或对比词来确定选项，有的是通过句中词来确定选项中的转折词。
　　
1）Even though he was guilty，the＿＿judge did not send him to prison．（1997年1月CET6）
A）merciful B）impartial C）conscientious D）conspicuous
