六级听力中的section a由10个对话组成，主要分为计算型、地点型、关系型、直接型、含蓄型等。其中计算题是较为重要的一个考点，也是考生普遍感觉很难的题型。计算题涉及到时间和有关距离、价格、数目、年龄等的数字题。本文作者对六级中常见的有关此类题型进行了分析，并提出了解题思路，希望能帮助考生提高解题速度和准确率。 一、做题之前应该注意的事项。 1．首先应该弄懂并熟记时间及数字的表达与读法。 1）时间的各种表达法 10：15ten fifteen ；fifteen minutes past ten；a quarter past ten； fifteen after ten 几天前the other day 五月一日the first of may 下星期这个时候this time next week 每隔一天every other day ／every two days 两星期a fortnight 10年decade 20score 12dozen 100年a century 2）数字的表示法 第十单元unit 10；the tenth unit 第17个no．seventeen 分数和小数： 3／4three fourths；three quarters 16／56sixteen over fifty-six 0．78（zero）point seven eight 3．49three point four nine 电话号码： 9872135nine eight seven two one three five 房间号：324three two four 在听较长的数字时，可先划好三个空格，然后填入数字。因为一个长数字每三个数为一组，从右到 左的三个逗号分别代表thousand，million和billion。例如当听到：fifteen billion，one hundred and forty-four million，five hundred and seventy-seven thousand，eight hundred and eighty时就很容易填出15，144， 577，880。一般来说，这样长的数字不常出现。即使有，也是像12million这样的整数。 2．听之前，先抓紧时间看一遍题的内容，大概确定一下可能提问的项目，做到心中有数。听的时候有的放矢。如1326和 1362，只有后面两个数字的顺序不同，只须着重注意不同之处就可以了，这样做简化了听的过程，效果更佳。 3．适当的记录非常必要，当涉及多个差异很小的时间或数字，尤其在需要进行简单运算时，仅靠大脑瞬间的记忆是不够的，往往听到后面就忘了前头的。所以，简单的记录会收到事半功倍的效果。即使当时由于时间关系，没能算出答案，听完之后也可以根据记录答题。 二、计算题可以分为两类，一类是直接选择，一类是运算题。 1．直接选择：对话中出现多个时间或数字，突然在问题中问及其中一个时间或数字。 例：you will hear： w：good morning．i’m here to see mr．addison． m：mr．addison went to washington last monday for a conference，and will be back on thursday night．if you like，you may come again on friday morning． q：when will mr．addison return？ a）on thursday night． b）on monday night． c）on friday morning． d）on thursday morning． （cet-697．6no．1） 这篇对话中出现了3个时间，即last monday、thursday night、friday morning。男士说mr．addison上周一去了washington，这周四晚上回来，所以男士让女士周五早上再来。这时简单的笔录就会知道a）是正确答案。 2．运算题。在有关时间、金钱、年龄、数量、距离等的题目中，听到的往往不是答案，答案必须通过运算才能出来。这时要特别注意一些具有提示意义的关键词。如：more， less，slow，early，late，before，older，another，after，twice，times，double，besides，including，at most，at least，increase，decrease，add，at（10％） discount，as．．．as，from（8a．m．）．．．to（4p．m．）．．．等。听懂了这些词也就搞清楚了数字或时间之间的关系，运算也就变得简单了。
