网友：上班族怎样在第一次考试中就考出7分的成绩，移民需要两个7分，学习总感觉长进不大，谢谢专家。。。

Jennifer：这要先看看你自己的英语水平是怎样的.一般来说,如果你工作一直都保持用英语,基础比较好的同学,可以考虑阅读,听力方面争取7分,口语和写作5~6分.启德培训班经常有些移民类的考生在听力和阅读项拿到的分数是7~8分-当然我指的是有基础的同学.此外,对基础比较差的同学,或常时间没用英语的同学来说,听力会比较吃力,那么可以尝试阅读和写作拿高分,因为移民类写作相对简单,而且培训班里老师会讲一些实战的套句,模板,帮助大家备考.

网友：雅思写作评分的流程是什么，能不能详细介绍一下，我看到100test上说有人因为背诵雅思写作得了0分，真的会这样吗？

David Larbalestier：Plkease refer to previous answer! If you memorise something it is obviously not your work and so you will get zero - 0000000! The Writing criteria are freely available at: www.ielts.org Go to "Teachers and Researchers", click on this and scroll down to the bottom of this page and you can click on another site where ALL criteria for Speaking and Writing, including General Training and Academic are available, as well as an indication of how many correct answers are required for Listening and Reading to score the Band score you require.You can also buy materials from the British Council - "How to Prepare for IELTS" with full information on the test and sample essays with Band Scores and comments, as well as a CD for the Speaking test.The Cambridge books 1-4 also have full information, sample essays and band scores with comments from examiners.

网友：我的英语水平只有高中1年的水平吧,而且好多年没学了,请问一下,我想考雅思6.5该怎么办?用什么书好?或者是报什么班?请指教!谢谢!

Jennifer：实际上雅思考试面对的是高中以上的所有考生,你的水平其实已经可以参考.但要考到6.5分,还是会有难度.建议不要急着报考,也不要记着报读考试的冲刺班.安排一点时间把原有的英语基础补一补,比如参加我们启德的雅思预科班,为期10周,把基础补补以后,接着上雅思的直通段冲刺班.

网友：在澳大利亚考雅思难还是在中国考雅思难，我想肯定说是一样难，但是实际上是不是会有一些差别呢？

David Larbalestier：IELTS is THE SAME ALL OVER THE WORLD!

网友：请问雅思重考还需交多少报考费?

David Larbalestier：I can not remember the cost here in China! Please ask EIC directly.

网友：移民类雅思和学术类雅思在内容上有什么区别?

David Larbalestier：Immigration: 5.0, General Training Module Education: 6.0 Academic Module

网友：像好记星这类的电子词典对于学习雅思或者外语有用吗？很多中国老师鼓励学生动手查传统的词典而非电子词典。

Jennifer：电子词典并非说对真正的英语学习没有作用,而是同学们用的很多电子词典的词汇量和用法比较少,很多意思是查不到的所以很多同学会望文生义.相比之下,传统词典所包含的意义就比较丰富了,所以在平时的英语学习当中,老师一般会鼓励同学们自己动手查传统词典.你的电子词典如果词汇量比较少,可以在平时应急时用.

网友：具有什么样的学历可以考“雅思”！考雅思一定要出国吗？

David Larbalestier：No qualification is required to sit the test. To be an examiner you must have a very high level of English (minimum 8.0), have a university degree including a specialisation in TESOL, and a few years experience. When you have a result in IELTS you can use this as evidence of English language ability for Immigration to several countries, including Australia, New Zealand, Canada, Ireland etc, or to go to study in an Englsih speaking country,such as Australia, Britain, USA etc.

网友：G类雅思成绩对于加拿大移民有效期是多长时间？

David Larbalestier：I have no idea. You have to ask an immigration agent this question.

网友：我想今后考雅思,目前手上有一本托福的词汇,背它可以吗?是不是雅思和托福的词汇差不多?

Jennifer：原则上来说,英语的词汇本身没有太大的界限,词汇量越大应试会越容易.但是因为每种考试的目标和针对性不一样,所以在参加每一种考试之前,应该对其题型,内容有个熟悉的过程.如果你的备考时间比较长,手头上没有别的复习资料,可以背背托福的词汇书.最后应考的时候还是要看看雅思相应的听力常考词汇,写作词汇等等啦.

主持人：接着上面网友的这个问题，请问雅思考试和新托福有什么区别呢？

David Larbalestier：IELTS is better! The Speaking test is a real excahnge between two people. The criteria for measurin g langauge level are more intelligently described in IELTS. There is much more consistency and integrity in the IELTS test because it has been in operation since the late 80s and has been refined and improved evry year since. Security surrounding IELTS is evr tight - this secures the integrity of the test, so results are more reliable. IELTS is the best!

主持人：马婷婷，根据你准备雅思考试的情况，你认为即将参加雅思考试的考生应该如何准备才能取得更好的成绩呢？你在学习的过程中有没有走过什么弯路？

马婷婷：这要根据不同人的情况而定.我虽然是英语专业出身,但对雅思情况不是特别了解,所以我给自己足够的时间备考:半个月参加培训班,半个月消化老师讲的课程,和整理笔记和机经.我的听力口语比较好,所以花的时间不多,只是把有关考过的场景和话题复习了一遍,阅读和写作急常常练练笔>..

网友：我不同意david的观点，背诵雅思机经中的答案固然不可取，但是雅思机经中对于雅思常考内容进行了分类，比如口语，列出了常考的雅思场景，个人感觉更接近真题，不知道david怎样看。

David Larbalestier：OK - there is value in memoring. We all use memory skills, not least of all when trying to master a new language. However, if you are trying to remember an answer to a particular IELTS question, this is a great gamble! There are now over 200 different Speaking test, and maybe as many Writing, Reading and Listening tests.If you think you can remember so many versions, then you are indeed brilliant! If you are simply memorising samples of alnguage then this will aid you language development. Do not however think that you are memorising answers for a particular test - you are wasting your time. Many IELTS colleges seem to be telling studenst that they have the questions and the answers for particular IELTS versions. This is deceitful and misleading.

网友：请问留学澳大利亚好还是留学英国好？

David Larbalestier：Australia is the most beautiful country in the world! There are more and more people immigrating to Australia from Britain than there are Australians going there! Is this not proof enough! Australia is cheaper, and the weather is better. Australia is a very open country and very competitive. Australia is also much closer to China!

网友：请问老师听力填空可不可以全大写字母，比如FARM？

David Larbalestier：Block capitals or lower case is all acceptable. Make sure the spelling is correct - this is the most important thing.

网友：我刚高中毕业，大学读2 2模式，前两年在国内，后两年去澳大利亚，雅思要求6.0以上.我从没接触过雅思,我知道我的英语应该要很棒,但是具体的我应该怎么做呢?从什么做起,什么时候做起呢?

David Larbalestier：Please refer to all previous answers below! You will do better in IELTS if you do an IELTS preparation program or use an IELTS course book, such as the one we have produced and which is available in China - through Qinghua University Press.

网友：我刚刚接触雅思，想06年底考，我现在上培训班好还是考前上好，听说现炒现卖比较好，复习时间拖久了考试还不一定好，是吗？

Jennifer：是的，最好是上完培训班的半个月或一个月内考试比较好，拖的时间太长，很多上课讲过的东西就会忘记。当然如果你有恒心坚持天天复习的话，时间长点也没问题，最怕有些同学依赖性比较大，上完课就丢在一边，那就...

网友：请问如何查询雅思的真伪性？有没相关的网站和机构提供查询？我单位相关人员提供雅思成绩，我们想查询其真实性谢谢。

David Larbalestier：Yes, through the British Council.We can check in Sydney - if a student presents an IELTS result we can check whether that is false or not, by going the BC site, entering the Test Result (TRF) and other information. IUt is possible to use aninfra-red light and hold that over the result and the water mark is visible.

网友：我现在高一，是个外国语高中，高二考试能考到6.5吗？

Jennifer：不能用年纪和教育程度来衡量考试能力。有些同学读完研究生也没考好，有些非英语专业的考得比英语专业得考得还好。要视乎个人能力。如果不sure，可以现参加个模考，再说。

网友：david,我的口语总是不理想，总不能很好地用英语表达自己的思想，这该怎么办？

David Larbalestier：Please refer to all answers below. This is a common problem. You need to simply follow the advice I have written in some of the answers below.

网友：老师好，我想先办移民到澳大利亚，然后在那边申请学校。我雅思应该报A类还是G类的？

David Larbalestier：For immigration you require the General Training Module, and then for further study at university you need the Academic Module.

网友：我朋友人在英国，想问一下在英国考和国内考雅思有没有什么不同呢？

David Larbalestier：IELTS is THE SAME around the world!

网友：背诵单词最好的方法是什么，感觉天天背单词，感觉天天见到的都是生词。

David Larbalestier：The more you learn the more you realsie you need to know. Learning never stops! Just keep trying.

主持人：考官大人，判断一篇雅思作文是不是抄袭的标准是什么呢？

David Larbalestier：As I have said below, if you remember something then this is usuully spoken OR written more fluently and maybe even more correctly. It becomes quickly obvious and clear to an examiner that this is memorised. It stands out! It is OBVIOUS!
