UCLES(University of Cambridge Local Examinations Syndicate--英国剑桥大学测试中心) is a department of the University of Cambridge. The UCLES Group comprises three business units. Each business unit has a distinct product range and group of customers.
Cambridge ESOL (English for Speakers of Other Languages) provides examinations in English as a foreign language and qualifications for language teachers throughout the world.
CIE(University of Cambridge International Examinations) provides international school examinations and international vocational awards.
OCR (Oxford, Cambridge and RSA Examinations) provides general and vocational qualifications to schools, colleges, employers, and training providers in the UK.
UCLES is also piloting the Biomedical Admissions Test and the Thinking Skills Assessment test. Both are being developed to provide additional information to assist university admissions. Further details of these can be found on the relevant websites (see links on this page).
The organisation is supported by the Assessment Directorate which incorporates the Research & Evaluation Division (RED), the Interactive Technologies in Assessment and Learning (ITAL) unit and the Public Affairs unit.
The work of the business units is supported by a Corporate Service division (CSD) which comprises support functions such as Finance, Information Management and Human Resources
