Barbara: You won three Grammy’s last month, wow!

Faith: Yeah, that good. It’s been a dream.

Barbara: But you know, your looks have gotten --- I don’t know--- 2)sassier, the clothes have gotten sexier. Yeah? A little?

Faith: Probably.

Barbara: Some people have said that the whole, the new look, the hair, the... you know the 3)divine sexy clothes, isthat youre trying to be a pop star rather than a country star? Youve read this?

Faith: So what, country women aren’t sexy? I mean thats what...

Barbara: Well I think what theyre trying to say is critical is, “Faith isnt pure country anymore.” Youve heard that you know, “Faith is 4)outgrown, this country isnt good enough for her.”

Faith: Thats too bad. You know I think thats... I dont know.

Barbara: Is country still good enough?

Faith: Absolutely, Im a country girl. You know I am regardless of what I wear and what I say and you know Ive never tried to be anything that Im not.

Barbara: Youre going to have career choices to make because youre getting movie offers now. Do you want that? Do you want to take that next step and go into films?

Faith: I do, but I need to be very good at it. I mean I have, I can get in to a meeting. I can get my foot in the door, but I need to be really, really good.

芭芭拉：上个月你赢了三项格莱美奖，哗！

费丝：是不是有点太少了？

芭芭拉：你想要多少啊？五项吗？你这一年过得怎样？

费丝：那又怎样呢，难道唱民谣的就不能性感吗？我是说……

芭芭拉：我想他们想要说的是：“费丝不再是纯粹的民谣歌手。”你听说过这些吗--“费丝认为民谣对她还不够好，她要做别的发展。”

费丝：那太糟了，我想那简直……我不知道。

芭芭拉：你认为民谣还够好吗？

费丝：当然，我是个乡下姑娘。你知道，不管我穿什么和说什么，你知道我是绝不会去装成另一个人的。

芭芭拉：由于现在有人请你去拍电影，你在事业上又面临着选择了。你希望如此吗？你希望努力朝影坛发展吗？

费丝：我是想，可我要在这方面做得很好才行。我是说我可以试一试，初步地探一下，但那得要做得很好、很好才行。
