　　1. Dont beat around the bush! 不要拐弯抹角！

　　bush:灌木，灌木丛.那么beat around the bush 的意思就是拐弯抹角的意思！

　　不要拐弯抹角：Dont beat around the bush!比如给大家一个例子:

　　Sally, you look so cool today!

　　Congratulations on your success!

　　You have set a good example for us!

　　I admire you so much!

　　You will have a bright future!

　　说了一大堆之后，sally 可能要打断我的话，说：

　　To be frank, what do you want, Andy?

　　Eh, can you lend me some money?

　　Well, that is the point you want to say. As for money, No way! You are wasting the money on a lot of nonsense! I will not lend you again.

　　所以了，奉劝大家，以后做事说话还是直接一点好！

　　记清这句话：Dont beat around the bush!

　　2.It is a long story! 一言难尽！

　　我们刚才学习了一句：Dont beat around the bush! 不要拐弯抹角！但是在某些情况下我们是没有办法一两句话就可以把事情说清楚的，因为我们有了这样的一句话：It is a long story! 真是一言难尽呀！

　　for example：

　　You are getting on well. How did you start?
　　It is a long story.高兴的

　　How comes you broke up?
　　It is a long story.悲伤的

　　当然我们这个句子的字面意思仍然保存，这是一个很长的故事！

　　比如说：这个小说长吗？It is a long story.

　　Usually it means that you meet with some trouble and it is hard for you to tell within just a few words. It is a long story.
