英文: China s Shenzhen stock exchange to develop cooperation with Indian counterpart China s Shenzhen Stock Exchange (SSE) intends to further develop cooperation with the National Stock Exchange of India (NSE), SSE board director Chen Dongzheng said Tuesday.
He made the remarks at a ceremony during which he and NSE president Ravi Narain signed a cooperation memorandum between SSE and NSE.
Chen said that China and India are the "twin engines" of Asian economic growth. He said that SSE and NSE also have many similarities: both were established at the beginning of the 1990s, both employ electronic technology for trading, and both achieved rapid development in a short period of time.
"The signing of the cooperation memorandum is a significant milestone for the two stock exchanges," he said.
Also Tuesday, the cooperation memorandum between SSE and the US-based Chicago Board Options Exchange (CBOE) began to take effect. This memorandum lays a foundation for cooperation between the two sides in such fields as options.
SSE is a mutualized organization that provides a venue for securities trading under the authorization of the China Securities Regulatory Commission (CSRC).
