　　世博网6月1日消息：在“六一”儿童节之际，上海世博会澳大利亚国家馆正式发布总主题——畅想之洲（ImagiNation）。“个人和集体的‘想象力’是世界各个城市打开未来可持续发展大门的钥匙。”澳大利亚政府总代表唐普德（Peter Tesch）表示说，“我们希望展馆能向人们展示一个‘真实’的澳大利亚：它充满活力；它的城市贯彻环保，拥有洁净的空气和水源；它的人民想象力丰富、机智聪明、魅力十足，而且热情好客”。
　　据介绍，澳大利亚国家馆将展现澳大利亚丰富的文化和优越的生活品质。展馆包含“旅行”、“发现”和“畅享”三个活动区，将共同展现澳大利亚的创新解决方案，表现人们在应对人口增长给城市带来的挑战的同时，还能保留澳大利亚所特有的洁净绿色的环境。最新公布的澳大利亚国家馆吉祥物笑翠鸟也很好地印证了澳大利亚在发展可持续性城市方面取得的成功。“它们在城市中繁衍生存，始终在建筑和自然环境中取得平衡。”唐普德说。
　　Australia announced today its pavilion theme "ImagiNation," which will focus on the innovative way Australians have responded to urban challenges.
　　"The power of our individual and collective ImagiNation holds the key to achieving a sustainable future for the worlds cities," said Peter Tesch, commissioner-general for the Australia Pavilion.
　　Challenging many of its international stereotypes, the pavilion will reveal the reality of Australia, a dynamic country whose cities enjoy clean air and water and have a strong sense of environmental amenity, inhabited by imaginative, clever, engaging and accomplished Australians.
　　The pavilion is divided into three parts incorporating inter-related exhibitions called "Journey," "Discover" and "Enjoy."　我要收藏
　　Tesch encouraged children to participate in the "Name the Mascot" competition which is inviting Chinese people to suggest an appropriate name for Australias official mascot for the Expo - a kookaburra - the native Australian bird.
　　"We encourage all children to exercise their imagination by entering our Name the Mascot competition to win a chance to visit Australia and enjoy first hand Australias exciting city life and beautiful natural environment," he said.
