主题：山地滨水区城市设计
Topic: Urban Design of Mountain City’s Waterfronts

背景：为配合2005年10月11-14日在重庆召开的“2005年亚太城市市长峰会”，在重庆市规划局的支持下，重庆大学建筑城规学院和澳大利亚昆士兰科技大学设计学院联合举办此次大学生国际设计竞赛。
Background:
Cooperating on the 2005 Asia Pacific Cities Summit, hosted by the City of Chongqing, China, 11- 14 October, and supported by Chongqing Urban Planning Bureau, the International University Student Design Competition will be organized by Faculty of Architecture and Urban Planning, Chongqing University, China, and School of Design, Queensland University of Technology, Australia.

目标：2005年亚太城市市长峰会的主题是“城市、人、自然”，结合该主题，通过对山地城市重庆特殊的地形、生态和社会文化及政治环境条件的把握，创作出富有挑战意义的滨水区城市设计。
Objective:
As the 2005 Asia Pacific Cities Summit will explore the theme of ‘City, Man and Nature’, focusing on the theme, the objective of this competition is to design a challenging waterfront area based on understanding specific landform, ecology and the multiplicity of social, cultural, and political factors of the Mountain City, Chongqing.

要求：本次设计竞赛基地位于重庆市江北区滨水地带，具体设计范围和有关资料见本次竞赛附件。了解现有的该区域的城市框架性设计研究成果，在选定的范围内进行城市设计。所有参赛作品必须证明其对山地城市滨水区环境的理解，在设计中体现复合使用功能的概念、合理安排交通、提供公众使用的公共空间场所和各类绿地、强化其特色，并具有灵活性以满足城市未来发展的需要。
Requirements:
The site is located at Jiangbei District, Chongqing, China. Study area and related information are given in the enclosed materials. Realizing the existing study of urban frameworks, the skeletal structures design of Jiangbei District, the project’s design team may develop an urban design project within the study area. The project must demonstrate understanding the waterfront context of mountain city. In addition, the project should be intended to: present the concept of mixed-use. provide healthy transportation system. provide public space as places of shared use and a range of green spaces. reinforce the character and identity of study area. and meet needs to be flexible enough to urban future changes in use.

奖项：一等奖一名：奖金5000美元
二等奖二名：奖金1000美元
三等奖七名：奖金500美元
Prizes:
One first prize USD 5000
Two second prize USD 1000 each
Seven third prize USD 500 each
