讲座内容英文简介
The basic idea of this concept of formation is that is in constant mutation, receptive to incorporate new changes in the process of always becoming, so it describes a methodology of work that it is based on an inclusive process rather than on fixed ideas.
We think that the contemporary social and environmental conditions that stem from the increasing scarcity of resources and shifts in economic, political and material processes, pose significant challenges to normative design practices.
We are interested therefor in developing new modes of practice, which directly engage with these new conditions and forces, and the ways in which they continuously reconfigure the city.
It is of particular interest to us the deployment of the diversity of scales in the creation of strategic models of dependency, where all the parts and their sizes contribute to the robustness of the system.
From this point of view, I would like to remind you that Plasma works in all the scales of this spectrum, from furniture and art installations to architecture and urbanism. And again, what is of particular importance is that all the scales are developed through the use of similar techniques and operate also in similar manner although with different degrees of -quantifiable- scope.
We will show several projects that engage with the multi scalarity of our environment: from urbanism, to architecture and art installations.
