　　我对1991到2001年间的四级考试的作文题做了一番分析，发现这11年里的二十二次的写作题目除1991年6月的试题为图表作文和2001年6月的试题为书信作文外，其余的二十次均为中文提纲式作文。这二十次作文题主要可分为五种类型：
　　（1） 阐述对立观点型
　　（2） 说明利弊型
　　（3） 解决问题型来源：www.examda.com
　　（4） 解释原因或理由型
　　（5） 阐述名言型
　　第二节 阐述对立观点型作文的出题形式
　　在四级考试中，我们常常会遇到要我们就两种对立的观点表明自己的态度的题目。请大家看看此类题型的几个例子：
　　例1：标题：Is Failure a Bad Thing? （1992, 6）
　　1. 失败是常有的事
　　2. 人们对失败有各种不同的态度
　　3. 我对失败的态度
　　例2：标题：Can Money Buy Happiness? (1995, 1)
　　1. 有人认为金钱是幸福之本（source of happiness）
　　2. 也有人认为金钱是万恶之源（root of all evil）
　　3. 我的看法
　　例3：标题：Reading Selectively or Extensively? (1999, 6)
　　1. 有人认为读书要有选择
　　2. 有人认为应当博览群书
　　3. 我的看法
　　可见，阐述对立观点型作文的标题往往以问句的形式出现，而且题目往往可以改写为两种对立的观点或做法。例如例1-3的标题就可以改写为：
　　阐述对立观点型作文的中文提纲则往往是这样的：
　　1．有（些）人认为……
　　2．也有（些）人认为……
　　3．我的看法/观点
　　第三节 阐述对立观点型作文的篇章结构和写作方法
　　在动手写阐述对立观点型作文前，我们必须根据所提供的中文提纲，考虑一下这类文章的篇章结构以及实现其篇章结构的一些常用的模式或套路，以便使文章的组织显得有条理，层次分明，脉络清晰。
　　6.3.1 阐述对立观点型作文的两种篇章结构及其写作套路
　　6.3.1.1 篇章结构1
　　第一段：引言（引出讨论的主题（X），提出两种对立的观点（A和B），有时还可略提及支持这两种观点的理由）
　　第二段：正文（表明自己的看法，阐述自己支持某一观点的理由，或/和驳斥自己反对的观点）
　　第三段：结论（总结全文，重申自己的观点）
　　这种篇章结构的重点放在表达自己的观点上，更能充分地阐述自己的观点，使自己的观点更充实、更有说服力。
　　6.3.1.2 篇章结构1的写作套路
　　下面介绍篇章结构1的两种写作套路。
　　套路1：
　　①People’s views/ideas/opinions on X vary from person to person. Some people think that ②______________________. They hold this opinion because ③__________________. However, others hold/don’t believe that ④_______________, for ⑤______________________.⑥As to me, I am in favor of the first/ second idea. The following are the reasons of/for my choice/personal inclination. First, ⑦ while it is true that ____________, it doesn’t mean that ________________. Second, ⑧___________________. Furthermore, ⑨_________________.⑩Therefore/In conclusion/From the foregoing, __________.①引出主题②观点A③支持观点A的 理由④观点B⑤支持观点B的理由⑥我的观点⑦理由一⑧理由二⑨理由三⑩结论
　　套路2：
　　①When asked about X, different people will offer different opinions. Some people say/think/believe/take it for granted that ②__________________________, while others hold that ③ ______________________________.④As far as I am concerned, I agree with the first/second view. The reasons are as follows. First, ⑤there is an element of truth that __________________________, but ⑥it doesn’t follow that ______________________. Therefore, ⑦the first view doesn’t hold water/can not bear much analysis/can not stand up to close examination.⑧In conclusion, _______________________________.①引出主题②观点A③观点B④我的观点⑤略提反对的观点的正确性⑥批驳反对的观点⑦小结：指出反对的观点经不起分析/检验⑧结论
　　6.3.1.3 篇章结构
　　对立观点型作文也可采用另一种篇章结构：
　　第一段：引出讨论的主题（X），提出第一种观点（A），阐述支持这一观点的理由
　　第二段：提出第二种观点（B），阐述支持这一观点的理由
　　第三段：表明自己的观点，阐述自己的理由，或批驳反对的观点
　　第四段：总结全文，重申自己的观点，或呼吁别人采取行动
　　这种篇章结构用于阐述A、B两种对立的观点和自己的观点的笔墨都差不多，会给人“平均用力”的感觉，不能像第一种篇章结构那样突出自己的观点。为了避免给人留下这种印象，在阐述自己支持的观点及其理由时，可多用些笔墨，而在阐述自己反对的观点及其理由时，则可相对简略些。
　　6.3.1.4 篇章结构2的写作套路
　　套路3：
　　①When asked about X, different people will offer different opinions/views/answers. Some people think/prefer that ② ________________. They hold this idea/opinion/view because ③____________________. ④However/On the other hand, there are still many people who won’t agree. They argue that ⑤_______________. Besides/In addition, ⑥_____________.⑦Personally, I am on the side of the latter argument. For one thing, ⑧____________________.For another, ⑨_______________________. ⑩Therefore/In conclusion, __________________. ①引出主题②观点A③支持观点A的 理由④观点B⑤支持观点B的理由一⑥理由二⑦我的观点⑧理由一⑨理由二⑩结论
　　值得注意的是，不论采用哪种写作套路，在表明自己的看法后，一定要阐述自己支持这一观点的理由，这样才能使自己的观点显得有说服力。
　　6.3.1.5 对立观点型作文的段落发展方法
　　在写对立观点型作文时，阐述两种对立的观点时往往可以采用对照法（见第一讲）展开段落，而在阐述自己支持的观点的理由时，则可采用列举法或举例法（见第一讲）展开段落。这样，文章才可能显得既有条理，又有说服力。
　　这一讲我主要讲了阐述对立观点型作文的出题形式、篇章结构、写作套路及其段落的发展方法。关于阐述对立观点型作文的写作就介绍到这里，下面我们进行写作练习。我将给大家一个作文题，请大家根据这一讲的内容，在30分钟内完成。大家在写作的过程中要注意审题、考虑文章的结构和采用的写作套路。
　　练习六：
　　Directions: For this part, you are allowed thirty minutes to write a composition on the topic Do “Lucky Numbers” Really Bring Good Luck? You should write at least 120 words and you should base your composition on the outline (given in Chinese) below:
　　1. 有些人认为某些数字会带来好运。
　　2. 也有些人认为数字与运气无关。
　　3. 试说明你的看法。

　　①When asked about lucky numbers, different people will offer different opinions. Some people think that ② lucky numbers can bring good luck. They hold this view because ③they believe lucky numbers will help them fulfill their wishes - to be rich or successful.
　　④However, there are still many people who wont agree. They argue that ⑤ such kind of idea is only ignorant and superstitious belief. Besides, ⑥they think numbers are just numbers and each number is equal in its importance.
　　⑦Personally, I am on the side of the latter argument. For one thing, ⑧ numbers, including lucky numbers, are just a tool for counting, They dont have magic power. For another, ⑨whether we will have good luck or not depends on ourselves instead of lucky numbers, If we work hard and make good preparations, good luck will come to us.
　　⑩Therefore, lucky numbers dont bring good luck. It is our hard work and good preparations that bring us good luck.
