　　On August 24, BBB Bank announced that it had signed an agreement to sell its retail and commercial franchise in Hong Kong and Macao to CCC Bank. This sale will have no impact on your relationship with us or on the services we provide to you.
　　Our wholesale banking franchise will continue to be an integral part of the bank’s global aspirations. BBB Bank has had a long history in Asia-more than 50 years-and operates in twelve countries in Asia with over 2,100 associates. Our commitment to the corporate banking and wholesale franchise remains unaffected by the transaction and our associates will continue to provide premier service across treasury services, capital markets, investment banking, corporate lending and other businesses conducted through BBB Bank and other related entities.
　　The company’s philosophy is to have significant market share or presence where we choose to do business. The Hong Kong and Macao retail business, BBB Bank, ranks 17th in assets in Hong Kong, a local market dominated by a few top players. We concluded, after an extensive review, that we did not have the economies of scale to remain competitive in that market.
　　However, BBB Bank will continue to invest in and is committed to building out its wholesale banking businesses in Asia, to better serve and to grow with valued customers such as yourself.
