情人节：爱情只在那天存在吗？（双语）

“ 情人节”或“圣瓦伦仃节”是全世界许多人在2月14日庆祝的节日。在西方国家，这是情人们表达爱意的传统日子，互寄情人节卡片、互赠鲜花或糖果。 　　Valentine’s Day: Does Love Only Exists on That Day?
　　So Valentine’s day is coming. Millions of couples are going to celebrate this day. I won’t. It isn’t because I am single. It’s because I celebrate my love every day of the Year. I don’t remember my loved one only this particular day. the 14th of February.
　　"Valentine’s Day or Saint Valentine’s Day is a holiday celebrated on February 14 by many people throughout the world. In the West, it is the traditional day on which lovers express their love for each other by sending Valentine’s cards, presenting flowers, or offering confectionery. The holiday is named after two among the numerous Early Christian martyrs named Valentine. The day became associated with romantic love in the circle of Geoffrey Chaucer in the High Middle Ages, when the tradition of courtly love flourished."
　　I think it’s childish to celebrate that day. Do we need a day to celebrate our love? Well I am against any "special" day like Mother’s day, Father’s day, Aids day, Environment day etc. I think that everyday should be Mother’s day, Father’s day etc. Everyday we should care for other people, show our love, protect the environment, give charity etc.
　　Many would say: "What’s wrong with it? We would like to celebrate!". OK you can do it, but remember that there are many people that will profit from this day. Many people have named this day as "Florist’s day" or "Pastry cook’s day". They are not wrong. Florists and Pastry Cooks make thousands of dollars on that day! It’s not bad for people to earn, but why be a victim of that day? You can buy flowers cheaper on "casual" days to show your love!
　　So I would advice you to love your soulmate everyday as much as you could! Have you ever bought flowers on a casual day to your loved one? Have you seen their reaction? It’s far better than Valentine’s day because they are not expecting the flowers from you!
　　One last thing! I hope that the 14th of February will be a casual day for you! A casual day full of love like all others!

　　情人节到了。上百万对情人即将庆祝这一天。我不会。倒不是因为单身，而是我每天都庆祝我们的爱情。只有在2月14日这一天才会忘记所爱的人。
　　“ 情人节”或“圣瓦伦仃节”是全世界许多人在2月14日庆祝的节日。在西方国家，这是情人们表达爱意的传统日子，互寄情人节卡片、互赠鲜花或糖果。这个节日是以两个早期基督教殉教者中叫瓦伦仃的人名命名的。在中世纪鼎盛时期高雅的爱情传统盛行。这一天随着乔叟文学的流行而与浪漫爱情联系起来。
　　我觉得庆祝这一天有点儿幼稚。需要专门有一天来庆祝爱情吗？呵，我反对任何诸如母亲节、父亲节、儿童节、环境日等“特殊”日子。每天都应该是母亲节、父亲节。我们每天都要关爱他人，表达情意，保护环境，给予仁爱。
　　许多人会问：“这又有什么？我们喜欢庆祝！”好吧。你可以这么做。但记住，许多人将从中获利。人们称它“花商节”或“馅饼厨师节”。没错。在那天，花商和馅饼厨师收入颇丰。对于要赚钱的人来说这个日子真不赖。但干嘛要让自己变成牺牲品呢？你可以在平常买到更便宜的花来表达你的爱。
　　所以我建议每天尽所能地爱你的精神伴侣。平常你买过花送给他/她吗？你有见过他/她的反应吗？他们意外收到你的花，所以反应一定比情人节那天棒多了。
　　最后，我希望2月14号是个平常日，一个充满爱意的普通日子。
　　不要等到2月14日了，今天就享受你的爱情吧！
