世界最小最古老共和国魅力 圣马力诺签署世博会参展合同实用英语

　　今天上午，圣马力诺共和国与上海世博局正式签署了中国2010年上海世博会参展合同。上海世博局副局长丁浩和圣马力诺政府总代表茂罗•.马雅尼分别代表双方签署合同。圣马力诺展厅将以“城邦国家：世界上最小和最古老的共和国”为主题，诠释对“城市，让生活更美好”的理解，展现这个世上最小最古老共和国的迷人风采和独一无二的制度体系。　　
　　圣马力诺拥有61平方公里领土，人口约3万，在地理上是位于意大利中心的“国中国”，是当今最小最古老的共和国，且拥有世上独一无二的制度体系，即存在两名国家元首（执政长官）。茂罗•.马雅尼表示，圣马力诺将通过参展上海世博会，让人们了解其城市与历史中心、国家与领土以及它的体制之间存在的关系，独立自主的传统与独特的制度体系所共同代表的国家特色。
　　The Republic of San Marino, the world’s smallest and oldest republic, will display a full-size reproduction of its Statue of Liberty at the 2010 World Expo.
　　The country signed its participation contract with the organizer today, confirming it will exhibit the statue embodying San Marino’s values at the center of a 324-square-meter area inside a joint pavilion for European countries. The statue stands in the main square of San Marino in front of the Public Palace or Parliament.
　　The country, with a territory of 61 square kilometers inside the heart of Italy, will also spotlight episodes of its history, its unique institutional system with two heads of state and government (the Captains Regent), as well as its culture, tourism and economy.
