Trees are down, homes damaged and utility crews have been out making repairs. All this after storms with winds as high as 110 miles an hour struck the region,dumping golfball-sized hail and large amounts of rain. Heavy rains in Thailand meant some American tourists had to be rescued. More than 700 Thai and foreign tourists were shipped or airlifted to safety off islands in southern Thailand today.
